Sustainable business case
What are they doing?
Plastpiratene, or the plastic pirates, is a green-initiative NGO focusing on deliberating the ocean of waste. With the help from a dedicated crew, they engage people who have fallen out of society to help them perform plastic sweeps of the Oslo fjord. From their start in 2018, they have grown into a team of nine dedicated pirates and received support from the local community in terms of financial aid and equipment such as old vessels.
How are we helping them?
To help Plastpiratene spread their good deeds, Gture is developing their website. We have looked at how to best communicate their mission and achievements, and how to encourage other people and companies to support their work. By applying Gture’s best practice within human-oriented design and UX-optimization, we hope to support this excellent initiative for many years to come.
What is the impact?
Plastic in our world oceans has gained much momentum in the past couple of years. In Gture, we are happy to play our part to preserve the Oslo Fjord from unwelcomed influence. Not only doesPlastpiratene’s work clear our oceans, but also provide a valuable platform for people to regain a chance of purpose.
In Gture, we are proud to work with Plastpiratene who work to preserve and use marine and marine resources in a way that promotes sustainable development.
