As the world slowly moves towards more sustainable resource management, Preem is taking the lead by developing an easy-to-use tool to keep track of Norwegian oil and gas companies' sales of sustainable biofuel products. Under Norwegian law, oil and gas companies are obliged to have more and more sustainable biofuels in their product mix. By offering this tool to corporate clients, Preem enables its partners to always keep track of their contributions to a more sustainable oil and gas industry.
In order to meet the requirements of Norwegian legislation and support the transition to more sustainable fuel use, Preem needed a digital tool that gives business customers an overview of their share of sustainable biofuels — developed in collaboration with both technologists and accounting experts.
We are doing our part to make the energy sector greener. In Gture, Preem assists in designing and developing their product. Together with PwC, one of the world's leading accounting firms, we combine our technological expertise with their considerable accounting experience. This has resulted in a product that supports one of Norway's most progressive environmental regulations in the oil and gas sector.

By providing this service to its strategic partners, Preem enforces a welcome regulation in the oil and gas industry in Norway — and does its part to ensure that Norway reaches the rail grade target.
