What are you doing?
The mission of Business for Peace is to support, inspire and recognise global business leaders who are positively changing the impact of business on society
The vision of Business for Peace is that all business leaders should aim to improve society. Leaders should thus influence businesses to act ethically, responsibly and create value for both business and society. Business for Peace developed the concept of business worthiness as a value assessment to describe value-driven business behaviour. Having business worthiness means using one's business influence in an ethical and responsible way with the aim of creating social as well as economic value.
How can we help you?
To help attract more sustainable business-worthy leaders, we have helped build the Business for Peace website. The Business for Peace website contains significant information and inspiring stories about leaders with high levels of business worthiness. Our job is to design and build a website that presents this information in a user-friendly way, using technology that allows the site to function smoothly.
We have also developed the nomination tool to select the Oslo Business for Peace Award. The tool facilitates a global nomination process before an independent committee of Nobel Laureates in Peace and Economics selects its winners.
What is the result?
Encouraging leaders to take the business-worthy pledge creates role models for society A business-worthy leader acts as a role model for the public and business community by showing how to achieve long-term success by focusing on community benefit. Another goal of being business-worthy is to gain recognition and appreciation as a business leader by stakeholders in the communities where the business is developed and grown over time.
As a business-worthy leader, you stand out as a champion of sustainable practices and values. Business-worthy leaders are outspoken advocates of the importance of ethical and responsible business, and want to solve problems that create value for both business and society.
